Healing touch

Acupressure has been known since ancient times. With the help of him, Roman soldiers quickly regained their strength. In Greece, since the time of Hippocrates, massage has been looked at as a means to help with many diseases. And in India and China it was used 4000 years before the Birth of Christ and even then it was presented as a harmonious and perfect system of improving the body. What is the history of one of the oldest methods of treatment and what is the power and uniqueness of touch treatment?

Touch treatment, or reflexology, originated around the 4th century BC in India and China. At that time, only the healer's hands were used for healing, and it is clear why: our fingers are still the most accessible tool for treatment. A little later, in China, pointed bones began to be used, then metal devices appeared – needles. Americans, visiting China for the first time and discovering a method of treatment with needles, called it aku-puncture (from Lat. acus – needle).

Unfortunately, many still believe that Chinese acupuncture is the only and main type of reflexology. But this is not the case. In India, the most ancient and authentic type of acupressure has been preserved to this day – working with the fingertips with active points on the body.

The Indian reflexologist simultaneously presses with his thumbs on both soles of the feet or on special points located on the palms, thus affecting the nerve endings, which eventually brings the nervous system into a state of balance. Therefore, during the session, the patient can immerse himself in a state of mind close to meditative - at this time, the brain produces endorphins and antidepressant hormones. This is the most naturalistic way to get rid of pain in any part of the body.

One of the most pleasant types of acupressure is the unique Ayurvedic massage MARMA TIRUMMU. This massage was part of the ancient famous Indian system of Kalaripayattu martial arts and has come down to us almost in its original form.

One of the regular guests of the Kerala Center is a master of acupressure, a unique reflexologist Yugandhar. Many of our patients appreciated his skill in "treating with his hands". Some shared that they fell asleep during the session, and woke up healthy, fresh and full of energy.

To find out the dates of the master's next visit to Moscow, contact our administrators or leave a request for a callback.
